Meet Our Staff

	Steve Mitchell: Owner & Licensed Funeral Dir. About Although Steve was born in Berkeley, California, he spent most of his youth in Iowa and South Dakota. He is one of eleven children--the second oldest in his family. Steve is a very community minded person and is involved with several civic organizations. Some of his affiliations include the position of past president of Big Brother-Big Sisters, Kiwanis, South Central District Wisconsin Funeral Directors Assoc., regional director for NOVA (National Organization of Victim’s Assoc.) Steve is also a certified grief counselor and has authored a book about grief entitled It's OK: A Journey Through Grief. Some of Steve's favorite past times include golfing, fishing and spending time with his friends and family.

	Dennis Dreischmeier: Funeral Attendant About Dennis was born and raised on his family farm in Plum Valley, near Wonewoc, Wisconsin. He resides there still with his wife, Janice (Sebranek). After graduating from Wonewoc-Center High School in 1967, he attended U. W. Madison for two years, majoring in Dairy Science. He started farming in 1969 when his Dad went through several major back surgeries. Dennis enjoyed farming for many years, retiring from that life in 1995. At that time, Dennis began working for Thompson Funeral Home and Furniture Store. Dennis still enjoys living on the farm in Wonewoc, a multitude of outdoor activities, and spending time with his sons, Marty, and his wife Anita, and Mike, and his wife Lori, and his five delightful grandchildren.

	Shelly (Ruetten) Loveless: Admin. Assistant About Like her parents, she was raised in the Wonewoc, Wisconsin area, attending school and graduating from Wonewoc-Center. She has spent all of her adult life working and enjoying her work with people in service-oriented occupations. She worked first as a banquet server, then developed into managerial fields over the last twelve years. Shelly has also volunteered as an EMT for nine years in Mauston, Wisconsin, until recently moving into the rural area of her youth. Shelly enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and sharing the country life in which she grew up, with her teenage daughter, Christina.
